CALL OUT FOR DIM SIMS

Dim sim market research: who makes the best dim sims in victoria? Dim sim fanatics Anna and Alex are trying to compile a 'top five dim sims in melbourne' list based on hearing about people's favourites.

It could be from your local servo or a homemade-y from a particular restaurant - whatever, from wherever, we'd love to hear your picks. Email your favourite dim sim locale and a brief description of the dimmy (why you love it) to: akelseysugg@hotmail.com

NOODLE STIRFRY

So my Mum sent me this text message from Luzern, Switzerland...

"Hi, thanks 4 the call, I am sitting in the sun looking across the lake at the old town and Pilatus with snow on it. Absolutely gorgeous. Love Mum"

and i responded...

"Lucky you! I'm cooking stir fry, watching home and away, with melbourne in the background! Barely comparable. Enjoy and speak soon. xo"

YELLOW FIN TUNA NICOISE

My Mum makes a mean Salade Niçoise, and it's a bit of a favourite.

On Sunday night, Momz had a new take on her usual
niçoise, with Yellow Fin Tuna, seared briefly so it's just sealed, very rare and melts in your mouth. Sittin' on a bed of baby cos and rocket, potato, hard-boiled egg, green beans, asparagus, homemade sundried tomatoes, spanish onion, olives, and a soy mayonnaise-balsamic vinegar-flaxseed oil dressing.

Unfortunately there wont be much of Ma's cooking round here for a while - she's off to France for a three month stint... So this spoilt bitch better get
ready to chuck on the apron and hit the kitchen!
